Worry-free cleaning and disinfection with MEIKO after-sales service

§ There are clear statutory requirements for using medical devices, such as those. Set out in the German Ordinance on the Operation of Medical Devices (MP-BetreibV). Users are required to observe the manufacturer’s instructions, safety information and maintenance advice. This is because the law assumes that the proper use of a medical device can only be ensured over the long term if essential checks are carried out – including the hygiene tests recommended by bodies such as the Robert Koch Institute –and if regular maintenance is performed (e.g. servicing as set out in the manufacturer’s schedule).

Routine servicing

Servicing and regular maintenance: Our MEIKO after-sales service team carries out any work required by law or by ourselves as the manufacturer reliably and professionally. Anything over and above that will be discussed with you in detail to determine exactly what you want and what you need. Take advantage of our specialist know-how, because when it comes to ensuring the safety of your patients and staff, we don’t make any compromises. We carry out regular training of our service and maintenance staff and use state-of-the-art servicing tools that are continually updated to meet the latest requirements – so you get the reassurance and peace of mind you need!

Keep full records with the MEIKO Maintenance Schedule: For your safety and peace of mind, MEIKO recommends that machines should be serviced at least once a year, or after 5,000 cycles at the latest. A MEIKO service includes all the maintenance required by law. The Maintenance Schedule sets out in precise detail which parts must be checked, and if necessary replaced, and which functions of MEIKO’s cleaning and disinfection equipment have to be tested. This includes software updates and any measures required by MEIKO, which are immediately communicated to our authorised MEIKO Service Partners.

Thermologging to verify disinfection performance: According to the recommendations on hygiene requirements for reprocessing medical devices issued by Germany’s Robert Koch Institute, it is important to regularly assess the performance of medical devices designed to disinfect other medical devices. Regional health authorities in Germany require disinfection performance to be verified at least once a year. MEIKO plays its part by conducting these tests on your behalf. We will give you a certificate confirming that your MEIKO cleaning and disinfection equipment is working to a high standard and that the disinfection techniques are working perfectly. Nowadays this is usually carried out by observing physical parameters with a thermologger and applying the A0 concept. However, wherever required our MEIKO service team is also happy to test bioindicators for you in a microbiological assessment.
