Data Privacy Statement

The following data privacy statement applies to the whole palette of offers in all domains of the MEIKO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, hereinafter called Meiko GmbH. It applies also to those domains to which MEIKO provides links.

Meiko GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and adheres strictly to the regulations set down in the laws and acts on data protection. Personal data are only gathered on this website to the extent absolutely necessary for technical reasons.  Never in any case are the data gathered here sold to third parties, or passed on to said parties for any other reason.

The following declaration provides you with an overview of how we guarantee this protection and explains which kinds of data are gathered for which purposes.

Data Processing on this Website

Meiko GmbH automatically gathers and saves in the Server Log Files information which is communicated to us by your browser. This information consists of:

  • Type and version of browser
  • Operating system being used
  • URL of the referrer (i.e. of the site visited immediately previously)
  • Host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of day at which the request is made to access the server
  • IP address
  • URL called up

The data just listed are gathered in such a way that it is not possible for Meiko GmbH to assign said data to specific persons. Nor is there carried out any sort of combination of said data with data from any other data-source.

Security of Your Personal Data

Meiko GmbH treat all the data that we gather in strictest confidence and take care to protect all your personal data from any and every unauthorized access, use, or publication. Meiko GmbH also ensure that those personal data of yours which are saved on our server are maintained in a properly supervised and secure environment in which all unauthorized access and publication are indeed effectively prevented.

Passing On of Your Data

Meiko GmbH shall not pass on your personal data to any third party, except in the case where such data are needed for the completion of the commercial transaction in question. The data passed on shall not exceed the minimum absolutely required in each such instance. In the case where Meiko GmbH shall find ourselves obliged by law or by specific judicial decree to pass on your data, we shall do so only to state institutions and authorities legitimately legally empowered to demand such information. All employees of Meiko GmbH have signed a written declaration stipulating that they have no right to pass on user data to any third party.

Gathering of Data within the Framework of Client-Contact and Holiday Job Application Forms

The web pages of Meiko GmbH feature various sorts of client-contact forms which involve, in part, requests for personal data, such as age and sex. Meiko GmbH shall not pass on your personal data to any third party, except in the case where such data are needed for the completion of the commercial transaction in question. The data passed on shall not exceed the minimum absolutely required in each such instance.

Children

Persons under the age of 18 years should not communicate to us any personal data without the consent thereto of their parents or guardians. We demand no personal data from children or from juveniles, we do not gather such data; nor do we pass such data on to third parties, should they happen to come into our possession.

Newsletter

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered by Meiko GmbH, we will require from you, as part of the registration process, a valid e-mail address and your surname. No further data will be gathered. You will need to give your consent, when first registering, to the storing of your e-mail address, and to the use of this address for your receipt of the newsletter. But you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.
In order to evaluate the use of the newsletter and to optimize its quality for you, various tracking procedures are also applied:

  • When receiving the newsletter, should you wish, images and artwork can be downloaded along with it. Among the objects downloaded is a so-called “tracking pixel” or “web beacon” which enables us to establish the breadth of the audience that our newsletter is reaching.
  • The number of clicks is registered and saved, but in such a way that this information cannot be assigned to any individual receiving party. In the case of a request via HTTP, however, the “receiving party” is also among the information sent, in the form of a hash value, for the purpose of verification.
  • Whenever a link is clicked on, this click is registered as part of the accumulated statistics, though in a form which renders the clicker anonymous. This enables us to recognize the respective degrees of use of various individual sub-sections of the website.
  • Likewise active is a tracking mechanism connected with the newsletter itself, with the same purpose of allowing us to establish the degree of use of this latter.

No cookies are used for the registration of these data.

Note on External Links

Insofar as this website contains links to other websites, it should be noted and recognized that the owners and operators of this website have no influence of any sort on the design or the content of the sites to which these links lead, and that the imbedded links do not in any way imply that the content of these other websites is thereby made a part of this website’s own content. This applies to all external links featured on this website, and also to all the content of those websites to which advertising featured on this website (e.g. banners, text advertisements or announcements, video advertisements) leads. As regards websites that this website links to, it generally applies that no content contravening the law was recognizable on said websites at the time that the link was established. The links are regularly checked to ensure that the sites that they lead to do not now feature any such illegal content and, in the case where they prove to do so, the links in question are immediately removed. It should also be noted that we are not responsible for the manner in which these other websites handle the issue of data-protection. On leaving one of our websites, we recommend that you read the data privacy regulations that apply on any other website on which you may arrive.

Cookies

Our websites employ, at several points, so-called “cookies”. These serve to make our palette of offers and services more user-friendly, more effective, and more secure. Cookies are small text files which are deposited on your computer and are saved and stored by your browser. Most of the cookies employed by us are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Cookies cause no damage to your computer and contain no viruses. In some areas of our palette of services we use cookies, as do in certain cases our cooperating partners as well, in order to fulfil functions which facilitate website use (e.g. in order to recognize you as a returning user).

Information on Our Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (Google). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”: text files which are stored on your computer and which make possible an analysis of your use of the website. The information about your use of this website (including your IP address) which is generated by the cookie is transferred to a server of Google’s in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to put together reports on website activity for the site operators, and to provide further services related to website use and Internet use in general. Google will also, if the occasion arises, pass this information on to third parties, insofar as the law prescribes this or insofar as said third parties are commissioned by Google to process these data. In no case will Google bring your IP address into any connection with any other data that Google shall have gathered. You may prevent the saving of cookies onto your computer by selecting a particular setting offered by your browser software. Please be aware, however, that, should you do so, you may then no longer be able to use, to their full extent, all the functions provided by this website. By using this website you implicitly give your consent to Google’s processing of the data gathered about you in the manner described above and for the above-named purpose.

Your Right to Information

Your trust is important to us. For this reason we ensure that we are always available to give a full account of ourselves as regards the processing of your personal data. You have the right to demand and receive information at any time about those data related to your person which have been stored by us, about the source of this data and about who will receive them, and also about the purpose for which the data is processed. To receive such information, or should you have any questions which could not be adequately answered by the present data privacy statement, or should you wish to have any point therein explained in more detail, please contact us by e-mail at datenschutz@meiko.de

Changes to the Present Data Privacy Regulations

Meiko GmbH reserves the right to make changes to these measures intended to ensure the security and protection of personal data insofar as such changes may be made necessary by technical developments. In such cases we shall also revise and adapt to these changes our published information regarding data protection. For this reason, please be careful to ensure that the version of our data-protection declaration that you are consulting is in each case the latest updated version of this latter.
